The Solid Waste Management Plan (PGRS) is a technical document that identifies the typology and amount of generation of each waste and indicates the environmentally correct forms for handling the stages of generation, segregation, packaging and storage, transport, treatment, destination and final disposal. It offers the assurance that production processes are controlled, minimizing the generation of waste at source.

According to the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS) – Federal Law No. 12,305/2010, the preparation and execution of the PGRS are mandatory for solid waste generators, responsible for the proper management of their liabilities.

In the project, a summary of general information about the company and a diagnosis of the situation at the moment are made, regarding the sources of waste and the management procedures.

Next, a description of the procedures to be adopted is elaborated and a proposal is made for monitoring and controlling the implementation and maintenance of the PGRS in the company, as well as training the company's employees on various environmental aspects.
